WELCOME! HERE IS UP-TO-DATE INFORMATION

Sacramento Valley Dog Fanciers Assoc

What a different look dog shows have in 2020!

Thank you, Reno and Bonanza KCs, for their support in the process of making a move out of California, which--at the early stages of our planning--needed to happen. Also, the staff of the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center has been invaluable in guiding us through this process on such short notice. Thank you, everyone, who has believed in this event from the beginning!

Message from the Show Chair John Wade

First and foremost, the club and I want to welcome you to our show weekend. We worked hard to make sure we were able to host a safe event in this unusual time, so please read the following guidelines so that we all have the same expectations:

  • We will be employing the protocols and “best practices” drafted by the AKC for putting on a dog show that uses masks, social distancing, and a whole host of new behavioral expectations.
  • These expectations include 3 Ws: signing the COVID waiver upon first entering, wearing a wristband all weekend, and wearing a mask at all times.
  • Another expectation: know your numbers--judging time, ring number, and armband number. You may need to get your own armband ringside and you will not be able to consult a catalogue.
  • This is a "show and go" event. Every exhibitor will leave the venue immediately upon the end of their judging.
  • Signage and site control will be prominent reminders of our expectations for a safe event.
  • Rings will have designated entrances and exits to aid in social distancing and ease of transition between classes. We will have designated traffic patterns, spacing, and “holding areas” for limited time use before judging.
  • Finally, no spectators will be allowed at this event; no vendors have been invited to attend; no seating, except for judges and their stewards, will be allowed anywhere near or around the rings at any time. No congregating will be allowed at any time.

This is not a normal show, but it is the best way for us to enjoy our sport and our dogs. Thank you for joining us! Let's make 2020 memorable in the best way possible.

Please review all of the information in the judging program

This is a different time for dog shows, so there will be new, specific information about participating in our sport in the judging program.

COVID-19 Waiver

On the next page, please find the COVID-19 Waiver: Print, fill out, and present for admission and a numbered wristband. Wear the wristband for entry privileges all weekend!
